Robust Motorized Transfer Cart for Steel Coil Handling

The 30-ton robust transfer cart shown in the image is a custom-designed solution for a manufacturing plant in Anhui Province. It is primarily used for transporting heavy materials such as steel coils and steel plates.

Previously, the client's conventional transport equipment was inadequate, unable to handle both coils and flat sheets effectively. There was also a significant risk of steel coils slipping during transit. Our new transfer cart has introduced a new level of mobility and versatility to the client's workshop operations.

With its compact dimensions of 4m x 2m x 0.8m, the transfer cart moves flexibly between equipment in the workshop while easily supporting heavy loads thanks to its 30-ton rated capacity.

To accommodate load requirements of steel coils and plates, the cart is equipped with an innovative removable V-frame on its countertop. The angle of the V-frame is designed to securely cradle cylindrical steel coils, preventing them from slipping during transport. When switching to steel plate transportation, the V-frame can be easily removed, converting the surface back to a flat deck and enabling dual functionality.

In terms of safety, the motorized transfer cart emits both an audible alarm and flashing light during startup and turning, alerting personnel to keep a safe distance. A scanning radar monitors the surroundings in real time and triggers an alarm when obstacles are detected nearby. High-brightness side marker lights also enhance the cart’s visibility in dimly lit environments, eliminating blind spots and other potential hazards.

Since the introduction of this material transfer cart, the customer has reported remarkable improvements: transport efficiency has increased by over 45%, eliminating the need for two separate transport devices. More importantly, there have been zero incidents of material slippage or collision, greatly enhancing safety and reducing loss-related costs.
