200-Ton Rail-Guided Transfer Vehicle for Foundry Ladle Transport
This is a 200-ton transfer vehicle we supplied to a large local foundry. The client's workshop previously utilized a non-motorized, rail-mounted transfer cart designed for high-temperature steel ladles. To meet the workshop's high-frequency transport demands, this cart required external power to provide stable traction.
During the initial phase, our technical and sales teams conducted a joint on-site inspection to gain an in-depth understanding of the actual operating conditions and specific requirements.
Our initial proposal featured a 200-ton capacity rail transfer cart without a driver's cab. However, through further consultation, we learned that this application involved high-frequency, continuous operation, whether caused by adverse weather or operational inconvenience—would result in significant financial losses.
Consequently, we optimized the solution by incorporating a driver's cab into the Rail-Guided Transfer Vehicle design, ensuring the equipment could operate reliably even under challenging weather conditions such as rain or snow.

Furthermore, to enhance operational efficiency, we equipped the battery system with a separate external battery housing. This design allows the client to quickly swap in a spare battery, preventing charging from disrupting the production workflow.
Approximately three months after the equipment was commissioned, we received positive feedback from the client. On one hand, the transfer cart successfully meets the demands of prolonged, high-intensity continuous operation. On the other hand, the ergonomic design of the driver's cab has significantly improved operational convenience and comfort, effectively contributing to increased efficiency in the steel ladle transfer process.
