15-Ton Rail-Guided Transfer Platform for Electrical Cabinet Handling in the Power Industry
Featured in this video is a customized 15-ton rail-guided transfer platform solution that we designed for a client’s workshop.It has successfully improved the transfer of electrical cabinets between various production stages.
Background
The client is a manufacturer of power switchgear equipment. Their workshop is already equipped with roller conveyor lines used for tasks such as the assembly and inspection of electrical cabinets. However, for transfers between different production stages or across separate zones within the facility, the client previously relied on manual labor or forklifts. This approach presented several key challenges:
1.Low Efficiency and Safety Risks: Manual handling is inefficient and poses potential safety hazards.
2.Production Disruptions: Multiple transfer steps and manual interventions disrupt the production workflow.
3.Inconsistent Alignment: Inaccurate positioning during transfers compromises the precision required for subsequent production stages.
Our Solution



To address the specific conditions at the client’s site, we designed a rail transfer cart featuring an integrated roller deck. This design enables seamless integration with the client’s existing production lines.
First, the roller-equipped deck allows workpieces to be transferred directly from the production line onto the cart automatically, eliminating the need for manual intervention and significantly improving handling efficiency.
Second, by traveling along a fixed rail path, the cart achieves high-precision positioning, ensuring stability and accurate alignment during transfer and docking.
Finally, the system is engineered to meet the client’s demanding, high-intensity operating requirements. Both the control and drive systems utilize high-quality components. Powered via the rails, the cart supports continuous, long-duration operation, making it ideal for high-frequency production environments.
