20T Rail-Mounted Lifting Transfer Trolley Transports Pipelines in a Drying Chamber

In mid-December last year, we undertook a project for a Saudi client. The client primarily engages in pipeline processing, which typically requires heat treatment or baking processes. At their old factory they used a rail-mounted transfer trolley. The construction of their new factory necessitated a new piece of equipment for subsequent pipeline transportation.

Through communication with the client, we learned that the transport vehicle needs to accompany the pipelines into a high-temperature furnace and remain there for approximately 60 minutes, where temperatures can reach up to 300°C. After understanding the actual working conditions, we proposed two feasible solutions for the client:

Solution 1: Powered-Traction Unpowered Rail Transfer Trolley

A powered rail trolley pulls the unpowered trolley, with the pipeline placed on the unpowered cart. Upon arrival at the furnace, the powered vehicle immediately departs, leaving the high-temperature-resistant, explosion-proof unpowered railcar and pipelines in place.

Solution 2: Rail-Mounted Lifting Transfer Cart + Pallet (More Commonly Used Solution)

Using a rail-mounted lift transfer cart a custom pallet is placed on the platform (customer-made or provided by us).

The transfer cart is equipped with an explosion-proof motor, high-temperature-resistant cables, and a heat-insulation design.

After the lifting transfer cart transports the pallet and pipes to the designated location, the platform lowers, leaving the pallet and pipes inside the furnace, and the transfer cart then drives out.

The core purpose of both solutions is to avoid prolonged exposure of the equipment to high temperatures, reducing the direct impact of 300°C temperatures on the transfer cart itself, thereby extending its service life and ensuring safety.

After further understanding that the transportation distance is approximately 20 meters, we decided to adopt the second solution because the first solution is more expensive and unnecessary.

Currently, the equipment has been delivered to the customer's workshop, and we look forward to further updates and feedback from the customer. We will continue to maintain close contact with the customer to monitor the equipment's operating status in real time and ensure timely technical support.
