Rail-Guided Transfer Cart for Precast Concrete Components

In the production process of precast concrete components, the transfer of components from the production station to the storage area typically requires stable, efficient, and safe transportation equipment. A precast concrete manufacturer had already laid fixed rails within its facility prior to this project to facilitate point-to-point transportation of components. As a result, the company imposed strict dimensional and operational requirements on the transfer equipment.

To address the client's specific needs, we custom-designed and supplied the DPX-3T rail-guided transfer cart, which is engineered to transport precast concrete components along these fixed rails.

Basic Equipment Parameters

Model: DPX-3T

Dimensions: 4 × 0.6 × 0.35 m

Rated Load Capacity: 3 tons

Safety Factor: 1.25

Power Source: Battery-powered

Project Requirements and Solution

The rails within the client's facility had already been installed prior to equipment procurement. The rail spacing and operational clearance were relatively limited, which imposed specific dimensional constraints on the transfer cart The equipment was required not only to meet a 3-ton load capacity, but also to operate stably on the existing rail infrastructure.

To address these conditions, we implemented several key design optimizations:

Compact Structural Design

With a width of just 0.6 meters, the equipment effectively complies with the width limitations of the client's existing rails while ensuring stability during the transfer process.

Precise Rail Matching

The wheel spacing was specifically designed to match the dimensions of the client's on-site rails, enabling the equipment to run smoothly along the preset track and preventing issues such as derailment or jamming.

Battery-Powered System

The battery-powered system eliminates the need for additional cable installation, providing greater operational flexibility and making the equipment suitable for high-frequency transport tasks along fixed routes.

Stable and Reliable Load-Bearing Capacity

With a rated load capacity of 3 tons and a safety factor of 1.25, the equipment fully meets the safety requirements for transporting precast concrete components.

Application Results

Since being put into operation, the equipment has enabled the client to achieve efficient and stable transportation of precast concrete components between the production area and the storage area. By operating along a fixed route, the material transfer cart has not only reduced the physical strain associated with manual handling, but has also significantly improved the efficiency of production logistics.
