30-Ton Remote-Controlled Transfer Carriage for Transporting Hub Motors
We were contacted by a major hub motor manufacturer in Chile that required a transfer carriage with a load capacity of 30 tons to assist in transporting hub motors.
The client outlined a specific operational workflow: the equipment needed to feature a lifting mechanism, as well as the capability to tilt its platform by approximately 16 degrees in any direction. This design was intended to facilitate the alignment and transfer of the motors from the carriage onto transport trucks.
Initially, we proposed a hydraulic lifting system. However, we later realized that this design would only allow vertical lifting of the entire platform without providing the necessary tilting angles. Therefore, we subsequently adopted a side-tilting design instead.

As illustrated in the technical drawings, this unit is capable of tilting forward, backward, to the left, and to the right. This adjustable tilting capability provides the precise angles required to enable operators to seamlessly align and transfer the hub motors onto trucks or other receiving equipment.
Most importantly, unlike conventional transfer equipment, this unit features an omnidirectional design utilizing four steerable drive wheels. This configuration ensures exceptional maneuverability, allowing the carriage to navigate flexibly and efficiently throughout the client's workshop environment.
The transfer cart is currently under construction. We look forward to the upcoming commissioning and testing phase and are confident that this transfer carriage will deliver an optimal handling solution for the client's motor transport operations.
